RAYMOND S. "BUDZIE" BUDZIAK JR.

RAYMOND S. “BUDZIE” BUDZIAK JR., 84, passed on Friday, October 18, 2024. He was married to the late Lorraine M. (Girard) Budziak for 36 years.

Predeceased by his parents Raymond S. Budziak Sr. and Mary M. (McEnaney) Budziak. Father of Mary Margaret Budziak and Raymond S. Budziak III.  Brother of Owen P. Budziak Sr. (Patricia) and Rose Mary T. Gruska.

Ray opened Budzie’s Nursery and Garden Center in Coventry, RI on the 3rd of May, 1961 - his 21st Birthday. Ray, Lorraine and Raymond ran Budzie’s for nearly seven decades, where their customers became friends and family.

At 80 years old, he decided it was time for a new adventure, on his beloved farm in Canajoharie, NY.

Ray cherished the company of his family and friends, right up to the end. On his final Friday he did just that: Ray was in Rhode Island delivering pumpkins with his son, visiting with family and friends, doing exactly what he loved.

Visiting hours will be Saturday morning, October 26, 2024 from 8:30 am to 10:15 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington, St. (Rte.117) Coventry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saints John & Paul Church.
