RICHARD DREYER Obituary

DREYER, RICHARD A., 72, of Warwick, passed away at home on Friday, February 6, 2026 with his loving wife of 38 years, Kristine C. (Carlson) Dreyer by his side.

Born in Village of Ridgewood, New Jersey, Richard was a son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Graafsma) Dreyer.

Richard was a natural born artist. He was the longtime owner of 1990 Restoration and later, Castle Glass of East Providence, a business that carries on Richard’s legacy to this day. Throughout the years, he created beautiful custom stained glass windows that will be appreciated for generations. He took pride in his restoration work at PPAC, restoring the beautiful sconces that hang in the main lobby, for all to admire. Ric also took part in the renovating of Robinson Hall at Brown University. Numerous churches proudly display leaded stained glass windows that Ric repaired and restored.

In his spare time, Richard found solace tending to his garden, and was known for always growing the best tomatoes. He was also a lifelong lover of all animals. Whether with paws, wings, tails, or gills, all creatures had a special place in Richard’s heart. He was especially proud of his Koi pond, which he hand dug and is home to fish that some are over a quarter century years old.

Richard was the brother of Patricia Keller of New York, and the late Peter Dreyer. He also leaves behind his beloved sister-in-law, Gretchen and her husband Terry Finnell. Richard is also survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, 3 cats, one tortoise “Zoey”, his bird “Bud-G”, and his beloved Golden Retriever, “Sadie”.
