GRAHAM JR., RICHARD F. “RICK” 73, a long-time resident of Scituate passed away on the evening of Saturday, February 28, 2026. With his loving wife of 52 years by his side, he passed peacefully. He was the beloved husband of Shelley L. (Divona) Graham. The couple were married on September 15, 1973. Rick was a son of the late Richard F. Graham Sr. and the late Mary (Donovan) Graham.
Born in Providence, Rick lived on Radcliff Avenue in his youngest years. At the age of 15 he moved to Scituate, a town that would become home for essentially the rest of his life. This is where he met Shelley.
Richard’s teenage years he attended high school at LaSalle Academy, and graduated from there in 1970. After high school, he proceeded onto a dedicated 40 year career as a skilled lithographer in the printing profession. Halfway through his career, he re-invented himself to adapt to the digital transformation of the industry. Richard never attended college, but his work ethic and industry skills allowed him to build an extremely successful career. Richard cherished the relationships he forged with his coworkers along his career journey. Richard retired from this work in 2017.
Over the course of his Scituate residency, Rick would build meaningful relationships within the community. Rick and Shelley celebrated life regularly with friends. Halloween, New Year’s, birthdays and the summer were always reasons to celebrate. Rick even hosted a neighborhood dads basketball league at “Graham’s Corner Court”.
Richard and Shelley enjoyed traveling and vacationing across the United States. With many National Parks as a highlighted destination, they hiked and experienced the country’s most beautiful places. Rick found solace and inspiration being out in nature. Richard enjoyed golfing as well as fishing. His favorite spots were Narrow River and "Quonny". When Richard’s three boys were in their youth, Richard loved coaching them in the Scituate Little League. A staple of the times were rides from the ball field to the Yum-Yum store with the team piled in the bed of his pickup truck. During his sons’ youth he was also a street hockey/rollerblade enthusiast and would often “lace up” with the kids for hours of street hockey on the cul-de-sac or down at the Hope tennis courts. In his later years, his heart was filled by visits with his grandchildren Braelyn, Isaac, Kensie, Caden, and Campbell in a new role where he was known as “Pops”.
Richard loved his family. He was the brother of Jacqueline Graham Burns and her husband Peter of Narragansett, and the late Barbara Ravenelle, Joseph Graham, and Mary Audet.
