RICHARD F. JOLY

JOLY, Richard F., 80, of Patton St., passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry.  He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Patricia A. (Lefebvre) Joly.

Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Raoul and Hedwiga “Jenny” (Stetkiewicz) Joly.

Richard was a bus driver for many years for RIPTA before retiring.  He was a coach for many years with the West Warwick Girls Softball League and was a member of the Crompton Vets.

Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Diane Ricard and her late husband Robert of Exeter, Joanne Tanner and her husband Peter of Coventry and Laurie Lake of Coventry; a brother, John Joly and his wife Audrey of Coventry; 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary and Michael Franzone, Jennifer, Matthew, Ryan and Lauren Ricard and Austin Lake; 2 great-grandchildren, Lacy Franzone and Tyler Franzone, Jr.; 2 nieces, Susan Gare and Paula Rebello and a nephew, John Joly Jr.

Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions in place, his Funeral Service and Burial will be private for the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s name to Riverview Healthcare Community, ATTENTION: Activities Department, 546 Main St., Coventry, RI 02816 would be appreciated.
