NOEL SR, RICHARD JOSEPH., “Tina”, 90, of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his bedside at Brockton Hospital on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Born in North Kingstown, RI, Richard was a son of the late Omer and Mary (Salisbury) Noel.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he earned The National Defense Service Medal and the The Navy Occupation Service Medal before his Honorable Discharge. He then went on to work at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT as a Grinder and Pipefitter. He later was employed in Massachusetts as a Machinist fabricating surgical instruments until his retirement. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and being outdoors. He also loved to play his harmonica and his Hawaiian Guitar.
Richard was the loving father of Kathleen Taylor, her husband George Warner of Coventry, Richard J. Noel Jr., his wife Shelley of Houston, Texas, Elaine “Noel” Brown of North Kingstown, and Kenneth Noel of West Warwick.
He was the grandfather of Richard J. Noel III “RJ”, Emily Costillo, Kenneth “Ryan” Noel, Melissa Taylor, Joelle Warner, Kristina Taylor, Angela Brown, Marie Brown, Kayla Shewchuk and the late Sasha Warner.
He was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren with a fifth great-great-grandchild on the way.
He was honored that his namesake is carried on by 3 people named after him: his son Richard J. Noel Jr., his grandson Richard J. Noel III “RJ”, and his great-grandson Richard J. Noel IV “Joey”.
Brother of the late Everette Noel, Helen Noel, Errol “Queenie” Noel, Robert “Bobby” Noel, Albert “Ted” Noel, Harry Noel, Jean Glenn, and David Noel.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 10:00AM - 12:00 PM (Noon) with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 PM (Noon) in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Burial with Military Funeral Honors to follow at Maple Root Cemetery, Coventry.
