RICHARD JAMES SERPA

SERPA, RICHARD J., 65, of Coventry, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Arthur A. and Jennie R. (Petrangelo) Serpa.

Richard graduated from West Warwick High School Class of 1977 and then went on to study at New England Institute of Technology. He was a Machinist at General Dynamics Electric Boat Quonset Point Facility for 43 years. 

In his spare time, Richard loved woodworking and Karaoke, and will be especially missed for his spot on impersonations of Frankie Valli. 

Richard was the father of Krystle Asselin and her husband Nathan. He was the loving brother of Arthur and Michael Serpa and the late Jennifer (Serpa) LaPlante, Frances (Serpa) Ouellette, Allen Serpa and Ronald Serpa. He is also survived by his best friend in the world, “Roxie” the cat.

Family and friends are invited to Visiting Hours on the morning of Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (RTE 117), Coventry. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
