RICHARD M. "RICK" WARD

WARD, RICHARD M. “RICK” 58, of West Warwick passed away at Kent Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Born in North Kingstown, he was the beloved son of Sandra L. (Hazelip) Ward of Coventry and Richard A. Ward of West Warwick.

Rick graduated from West Warwick High School in 1986. He worked tirelessly for many years as a batchmaker at the former Soluol Chemical Company in West Warwick before seeking employment at ORCO in Lincoln, RI and most recently at Barentz-North America in North Kingstown for the last three years.

Rick was skilled in playing recreational sports including golf and also throwing darts at the many former local venues. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Rick enjoyed the company of his many friends, and travelling to Florida and especially Sedona, Arizona.

Rick was the brother of Michael A. Ward of Coventry and Kim Ward of West Warwick. He was the uncle of Britny Ward, Steven Dyer Jr. and Rhiannon Ward; and the great-uncle of Jaxson Ward and Remington Dyer. Rick also leaves his significant other Kathy DiFormato.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm with a Memorial Service at 2:30 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,(95/exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry. Please omit flowers. iannottifh.com
