RICHARD "Dick" E. PATEFIELD, Sr.

PATEFIELD Sr., Richard E. “Dick”, 91, of Broad St., passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.  He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann (Jones) Patefield and companion of Nancy Silva of Warwick.  

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Stephen V. and Florence (Lennox) Patefield.

Dick was an Army veteran of the Korean War.  He worked at Narragansett Electric for 44 years before retiring in 1991.

He is survives by his children, Richard E. Patefield Jr. and his wife Kim of Coventry and Kathy A. Paul and her husband Lee of West Warwick; 4 grandchildren, Katie, Korey, Danielle and Mathew and 3 great-grandchildren, Riley, Sabrina and Ellie.  He was a brother of the late Florence Johnson, Stephen V. Patefield Jr. and Thomas J. Patefield.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 13, from 8:30 – 10:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in SS. John & Paul Church, Coventry.  Interment with Military Honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, will be private for the family.  Due to COVID 19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing are required.
