GRAVES, Rita M. (Lavoie), 93, formerly of West Warwick , passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Kent Hospital.

Born April 6, 1927 in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Moises and Sarah (Portlier) Lavoie.

Rita Worked for the Rhode Island Medical Center in Cranston for nearly 35 years as a CNA. Rita loved the beach and later in life loved going to the bingo. She was a communicant of River Point Advent Christian Church where she often volunteered. She loved life and her family was her strength.

She is survived by her children, Michael Amendola of West Warwick, Mariann Madigan of West Warwick, Rhonda Abadier and her husband John of Knoxville Tennessee and George Graves and his wife Wanda of Greene; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and her sister Joanie Orlando ( Lavoie ). She was the mother of late Nelson Pizzo and sister of the late Leo Lavoie.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, Rita’s Funeral Service and Interment will be private for the family.
