RITA (PALLADINO) JOHNSON

JOHNSON, RITA (PALLADINO), 82, passed away peacefully at Kent Hospital on Thursday, July 3, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald R. Johnson.  

Born in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Carmella (Petrella) Palladino. 

Always a woman of strong faith, Rita loved caring, cooking, and hosting meals for her family. She also enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Above all, any time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was what Rita cherished most. 

Rita was the loving mother of Wayne A. Johnson, his wife Melinda, Roger P. Johnson, his wife Kelly, Robert R. Johnson, his wife Arielle. She was the loving Noni of Alicia, Maxwell, Dominique, Donald, and Cory; great grandmother of Landon, Elliot, and Wyatt. Dear sister of the late Mary (Palladino) Izzo, Giuseppe Palladino, Antimo Palladino, Brigida (Palladino) Raimondo, Vincenza (Palladino) Sauco, Angelo, Biagio, Armando and Teresa Palladino.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 8:30 am - 10:15 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Interment with Committal Prayers at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
