COVENTRY- Rita Mae Lineham, 84, of Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, with loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard D. Lineham, Sr.
Born on January 6, 1937, in Warwick, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Helen J. (Studley) Fields.
She was the sister of Catherine R. Dion and her husband Emile, and the late Anna Duquette, Dorothy Finnerty-Dion, Joseph Fields, Thomas Fields, James Fields, and John Fields.
Rita worked for many years in the Textile Industry where she was employed at Concordia Manufacturing Corporation in Coventry.
She was a member of Stony Lane Church in North Kingstown.
In her spare time, Rita enjoyed playing games, which included bingo and cards. She was also an avid collector of angel keepsakes. Above all, Rita was most happy when she was in the presence of and making memories with her dear family and friends.
Rita is survived by her son: Richard D. Lineham, Jr. and his wife Karen; her three grandchildren: Crystal L. Bergantine and her partner Scott Cowan, Daniel P. Lineham, and Ryan E. Lineham and his wife Sherri; her 5 great-grandchildren: Justin Bertrand, Alexis Lineham, Evan Moreau, Jeffrey Bertrand, and Seth Lineham; and also many friends and extended family members.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rt.117), Coventry. Interment will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. For safety of all attending, the use of appropriate face coverings is requested.
