PROULX, Robert M., 77, of South Main St., Coventry, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 25, 2019. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Dianne A. (Corbeil) Proulx.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Doris C. (Coutu) Proulx.
Robert was a 1960 graduate of Coventry High School and was a member of the United States Air Force from 1960-1964. He worked at Hoechst Celanese Corporation for 33 years before retiring in 1995 as Human Resource Supervisor and then worked at American Industrial Casting, Inc. as Human Resource Director until his retirement from there in 2005. He was a member of the American French Genealogical Society.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Kimberly Patefield and her husband Richard of Coventry; a son, Keith Proulx and his wife Helen of Coventry; nephews, Aaron Coutu and his husband Raymond Daignault III of Pacoag, RI, Jay A. Coutu of Fredericksburg, VA; a niece, Kerry Adams and her husband Kevin of Coventry and his grandchildren, Danielle and Mathew Patefield, Robert Clancy and Devin Proulx.
A Committal Service and Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:30 am at the chapel in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
