ROBERT RABOIN Obituary

WEST GREENWICH- Robert A. Raboin, 79, of West Greenwich, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry. He was the devoted and caring husband to Kathleen D. (Deery) Raboin of West Greenwich.

Born on April 29, 1942, in Providence, Bob was the doting son of the late Lionel J. and Theresa (Lafond) Raboin.

A proud and patriotic man, Bob was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War Conflict. He achieved the rank of SN and he was assigned to the USS Ticonderoga. He served from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1964.

Throughout his life, Bob worked in different industries and professions, succeeding in all. He worked in sales for an electrical manufacturing company and he was also an entrepreneur, working in the rubbish removal business. Bob also worked as a Batchmaker with Hoechst Celanese Corp, until his well deserved retirement.

In his spare time, Bob enjoyed attending car shows and learning about antique cars. He was an avid NASCAR fan and while his sons were in their younger years, he was active alongside them in Boy Scouts. Above all, Bob enjoyed spending time and making memories with his treasured family.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his cherished sons: Michael Raboin, Daniel Raboin, and Matthew Raboin; his proud daughters: Jessica O’Connell and Jody Orlando; his 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his siblings: George Raboin and Annette Desrocher; and also many friends and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Bob is predeceased by his sister: Jane Costigan.
