ROBERT ROY MESSIER

MESSIER, ROBERT ROY, 70, a life long resident of West Warwick, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 17, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife Diane E. (Allen) Messier in 2004. Robert was a son of the late Thomas J. and Angelina M. (Tavares) Messier.

Robert served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Robert had been employed at Brown & Sharpe. He enjoyed trips to the nearby Casinos, and also trying his luck with a daily scratch ticket. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2.

Most of all, Robert will be remembered for his quick wit and contagious sense of humor.

He was the father of Michelle E. St. Cyr and her husband Michael of Sterling, CT, Jeannine E. Pellerin and her husband Michael of West Warwick, and Christina A. Albro and her husband Richard of Moosup, CT.

He was the grandfather of Joshua S. Lambert, Michael J. Pellerin Jr., Jacob R. St. Cyr and Paige E.F. St. Cyr; great-grandfather of Grant. Robert was the brother of Thomas J. Messier Jr. of Delaware, David Messier of West Warwick, Rosemary Webb of Florida, and the late Michael S. Messier and Raymond Messier. Robert was the companion of Charlotte Wilding.

His Funeral Service followed by interment with military honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will be private for the family.
