SQUADRITO, ROBERT A., 70, of Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Born in Providence, Robert was the eldest son of the late Philip J. and Evelyn (Cassella) Squadrito.
From an early age, Robert was drawn to electronics of all varieties. He began learning circuitry from repairing old televisions and radios, a passion that will follow Bob throughout his life. He also discovered his love of the guitar as a young man. He loved playing both the acoustic and electric guitar, and was particularly fond of Rock and Roll, playing in several bands in his younger years. After graduating from the New England Institute of Technology, Bob spent his full time careers at Electric Boat and Brown University. Robert supplemented his interest and income repairing guitars and musical equipment with his business, “Bob’s Guitar and Amp Repair”, serving the needs of local musicians for years.
As a health and exercise enthusiast, Bob was known throughout his neighborhood as
“The guy who ran”. He found that running was not only beneficial to one’s physical health, but also to their mental strength as well.
Robert is survived by his beloved sister, Judy A. Hulting, her late husband Christopher N. Hulting. He was predeceased by his brother, the late Philip Squadrito.
Family and friends are invited to a Visiting Hour on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Coventry Community Center, 1277 Main Street, Coventry, RI. A Memorial Service, officiated by RI Genesis Church, will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial is respectfully private.
