ROGER M. PELLETIER

PELLETIER, ROGER M., 82, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025. He was the loving husband of Pamela C. (Flynn) Pelletier. 

Born in Providence, Roger was a son of the late Leo A. and Blandine (Lemay) Pelletier. 

Roger was the longtime owner and operator of Providence Automotive Engineering Co., a business that truly spanned generations.  Roger began working at the shop with his father in 1958 and spent the last 37 years working alongside his son, Lee.  In recent years Roger was fortunate to be able to work with his grandsons at the shop as well.  

Roger loved the water and made lifelong memories raising his family on Johnson’s Pond in Coventry, where he would take his children and their friends waterskiing or out for a boat ride nearly every night of the summer. Roger also had a passion for the ocean and enjoyed sport fishing trips and cruises to Block Island captaining the “Ocean Commotion”.  Roger stayed connected with many close friends over the years and always looked forward to the speedboat trips to Newport for lunch with the “Boys of Summer”.  When he wasn’t on the water, Roger loved spending his weekends with his family at their farm in New Hampshire, where he loved to drive the tractors and hit the trails on his four-wheeler. 

Besides his wife Pamela, Roger is survived by his son, Lee Pelletier (Heather), and his stepchildren Troy Kirkland (Sondra), Shane Kirkland (Dawn), Kristin Windrow, Brett Windrow (Joyce), and Jaime Window.  Roger was the brother of Robert Pelletier, Leo Pelletier and the late Pauline Norman, Theresa Plante, and Lucille Michaud. Roger is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to Roger’s Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00  AM, in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick, RI 02886. Burial is respectfully private.
