ROLLINS L. CARRON

CARRON, ROLLINS L., 80, a lifelong resident of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. 

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Rollins L. Sr. and Elsie E. (Ekeblad) Carron. 

As a young man, Rollins was an accomplished athlete and he especially excelled at baseball. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, Rollins then went on to spend his career as a Physical Education Teacher in the Coventry School System until his retirement. 

Throughout his life, Rollins continued to share his passion for sports and athletics. He was an umpire for local baseball leagues and made many lifelong friends coaching baseball, basketball, and soccer. Whether being remembered as a natural born athlete on the field, or his moves on the dance floor, Rollins will truly be missed by all who knew him.       

He was the father of Geoff Carron and Justin Carron, his wife Kristen; beloved grandchildren Nicholas, Kyle, Zacharie, and Mathieu. He was also the loving brother of Candace Bengston, her husband Russell of Exeter.
