RONALD A. DEMARAIS

DEMARAIS, RONALD A., 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. “Debbie” Mclintock.

Born in Springfield, MA, he was a son of Carol June (Ekberg) Demarais and the late Ronald J. Demarais. 

Ron recently retired as a Bus Driver for RIPTA after many years. He also worked at Stanley Bostitch, East Greenwich, where he met the love of his life, Deborah, nearly 32 years ago. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, piloting his drone, and video photography. 

Whether rescuing any animals in need, to feeding the community of bunnies living in his backyard, or to his devoted love and care to the dogs he’s had throughout his lifetime, Ron was truly a lifelong animal lover.   

Besides Deborah, Ron is survived by his step children William Mclintock, his wife Amanda, of Westerly, and Cynthia Mclintock of Pawtucket. Loving grandfather of Robbie, Ashton, Mara, Rosie, and Evander. Ron was the brother of Michael Demarais of Connecticut, Mark Demarais of West Warwick, Jeffrey Demarais of Coventry, Carolyn Kershaw of New Hampshire, and the late David and Daniel Demarais. Loving uncle of Stefanie Demarais, Brittney Demarais,  Jeffrey “J J” Demarais, Amanda Demarais and the late Michael Thomas Demarais. Ron also leaves behind his dear miniature poodle “Duddy”.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM, with a Funeral Service to begin at 11:30 AM, in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (Route 117), Coventry, RI. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.
