ROSE BEAN Obituary

BEAN, ROSE P., 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Christopher House, Worcester, MA. She was the loving wife of the late Edwin Bean, who predeceased her in 1994. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Ciarciella) Pascone.

Her fondest memories were the times spent with her siblings and parents waitressing at her family’s Venice Hall Catering business in Federal Hill, attending Sunday gatherings with her large extended family, and the many years of residing in Barrington with her husband and children. She loved watching the evening sunsets and thunderstorms looking out over Narragansett Bay from her porch. Rose was a doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor. She was a devout Catholic and active member of her congregation who volunteered her time at Gabriel’s Trumpet Bookstore with her many church friends. Rose previously worked at Narragansett Electric and Ocean Tides, Inc. At her most recent residence, Christopher Heights of Webster, MA, she was described by the staff as “beautiful on the inside and out” and a resident with a “quiet calm and a cheerful, upbeat personality that made everyone feel special. A true lady.” She is already deeply missed by all who loved her.

Rose was the mother of Marie Alan, MA; Barbara Gaudio, CT; Paula Bean, FL; Sandra Contente, RI; and Christopher Bean, GA. Grandmother of 8, Great-grandmother of 6.

Family and friends are invited to Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Rose’s family will be receiving guests prior to Mass. A private burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
