ROSEANN O'CONNELL Obituary

COVENTRY- Roseann O’Connell, 72, of Coventry, formerly of Marco Island, FL and North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully, on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at her home in Coventry, RI.

Born on March 14, 1950, in Cambridge, MA, she was one of three children born to the late Vito and Agnes (DeGiorgio) Cirillo. She grew up in the Arlington Heights section of Arlington, MA, where she attended Arlington Public Schools, graduating in 1968 from Arlington High School. Following graduation, Roseann attended Northeastern University in Boston.

In her younger years, Roseann worked for Coolidge Bank and Trust. A woman with a great work ethic and determination, over her nine year career with Coolidge Bank and Trust, she was promoted to the role of Branch Manager of the Coolidge Square bank location. Following her time of working in banking, Roseann had the ever so important job of being a Homemaker to her family. She took great pride in providing a safe and comfortable home to her three children at their residence in North Attleboro, MA.

In her spare time, Roseann had a wide array of hobbies and interests. She enjoyed traveling and loved her trips to the casino, especially Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut and Immokalee Casino in Florida, where she often tried her luck at slot machines and blackjack. She liked to cook for her family using recipes from older generations of her family and new recipes from the internet that encouraged her to try new flavors. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time lounging in the sun. She was a dedicated fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, holding season tickets to watch them play at Fenway Park; however, her favorite sporting events to attend were the ones her grandchildren participated in.  Above all, Roseann was most happy when she was in the presence of and making memories with her dear family, especially being a “Nonni” to her grandchildren.

Roseann is survived by her cherished children: Erin (O’Connell) Riley, and her husband, David, of Coventry, RI; Jason O’Connell, and his wife, Allison, of Parker, CO; and Kevin O’Connell, and his husband, Ricardo Ramos, of Plainfield, NJ. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Joseph Riley; Mackenzie Riley; Braden O’Connell; Abigail O’Connell; Camden O’Connell; and Declan O’Connell. Roseann also leaves behind her siblings: Nicholas Cirillo, and his late wife, Rosemarie; Maria Hopkins, and her husband, Robert; and also countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, other extended family members and her grand fur baby, Lucy.
