With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra J. (Yates) Iannotti, a vibrant and loving soul, who peacefully departed this world on Wednesday evening, April 9, 2025, at the age of 79. Surrounded by her adoring family in her Coventry home on MacArthur Blvd., Sandra's life came full circle, returning to the place where so many cherished memories were made. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert D. Iannotti, in 1979, a loss that shaped her life but never dimmed her spirit.
Born in Providence, Sandra was the cherished daughter of the late George T. and Lillian B. "Lee" (Ritchotte) Yates. A proud graduate of Coventry High School, class of 1964, Sandra possessed an entrepreneurial spirit that led her to earn a degree in Hairdressing and Cosmetology. This passion blossomed into the Studio I Hair Boutique in Phenix Square, West Warwick, which she owned and operated for over a decade, bringing beauty and confidence to her community. Later, she and Albert embarked on a culinary adventure, opening the Millhouse Pub and Restaurant. After Albert's passing, Sandra's resilience shone as she became the proprietor of the stylish Pure Essence Ladies clothing stores in West Warwick and Cranston. In her later years, before retiring in 2017, Sandra found joy as an Events Coordinator for Aramark Food Services and Facilities Management at Pine Manor College in Brookline, MA, where she brought her creative flair to every occasion.
Sandra's heart belonged to Johnson's Pond in Coventry, where she spent countless summer seasons with her family. A skilled water skier, she was crowned Miss Johnson's Pond in 1960, a testament to her vivacious personality. She was a spontaneous and unpredictable spirit, often whisking her children away on unexpected adventures, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.
Among her many talents, Sandra enjoyed cooking and bringing her family together through her delicious meals. She had a knack for decorating and an artistic eye.
Sandra was the caring mother of Mia Rose Iannotti and her partner David A. Parente of Coventry, Melissa Lee Iannotti and her husband Steven J. Fortin of Richmond, and Albert D. Iannotti Jr. and his wife Jin Di of Warwick. Her three grandchildren, Lydia Rose Murdock, Reid A. Murdock, and Gwendolen J. Iannotti, brought her immeasurable joy. Sandra was the sister of Scott T. Yates and his wife Toni of Fort Myers, FL, and the late Linda J. Pangalos and her husband Robert Pangalos. She will be sadly missed by her niece Nicole L. LeBlanc and her husband Scott of Mattapoisett, MA , as well as numerous other nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Sandra also leaves behind her beloved aunt, Blanche Ritchotte.
