SARA PULNER Obituary

PULNER, Sara, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Thursday morning surrounded by her daughter, Jeanne; grandchildren, Mark and Nicole; and her  son Alan and son-in-law Donald. She always lived her life with joy and humor dearly cherishing her family and friends, who, in turn cherished her presence and will miss her sorely

Sara, nee Siegle, (b. 1933) grew up on the East side of Providence, off of Hope St. near Rochambeau Ave, where she, as an adult, raised her children with her husband, Zenas. At that time she was an active member of Temple Beth Shalom. She and Zenas moved to Cranston in the 80’s. Later in life, she rekindled her love of the Jewish faith and fulfilled her dream to be Bat-Mitzvahed. After her husband’s passing, she became a resident of the West Bay Assisted Living facility. She often said how much she enjoyed living at West Bay and spoke fondly of the privilege of living there and the wonderful friends she made. She also joyfully served as the Welcome Wagon person for new residents. She had the unique gift of always remaining positive no matter what turns her health took. Even during months of COVID quarantines, walking the length of her room, she remained upbeat and grateful to be alive.

She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Holzinger and son-in-law, Raoul Holzinger; son, Alan and his husband Donald Nollar; grandchildren Nicole Spencer and her husband John Spencer; grandson Mark Mezzini and his wife Jenn Mezzini; along with her wonderful great grandchildren, James, Claire, Grace, and Gwendolyn.

Those of us who she’s left behind will miss her dearly, but we take comfort in the knowledge that she is reunited with her husband Zenas.
