SCOTT LORAN WALLS

WALLS, SCOTT LORAN, 60, of Providence, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Born in Highland Park, Illinois, he was the son of Sandra (Chisholm) Walls and Richard Walls and his wife Cathy.

Scott attended the Meeting Street School as a child, and against all odds, he graduated from Tollgate High School in Warwick. He loved competing in the RI Special Olympics earning many medals over the years. Scott’s determination was boundless and his family was his greatest advocate and supporter. Scott had various jobs throughout the years and he was known to be a dedicated and conscientious employee. 

Scott loved the ocean, walking on the beach, swimming and playing around. He was a voracious reader all of his life. He enjoyed dancing and showing off his moves. Scott was kind, generous and very loving. He loved his niece and nephews and had a special place in his heart for his niece Courtney. He loved all of his puppies with all his heart.

He was the brother of Wendy McGovern and Kim McKiernan (Fred). He was the uncle of Courtney, Patrick, Riley, Ian and Casey.

Scott was able to make one last act of kindness by being an organ donor. He was able to make four people's lives better. Because of this, a little bit of our Scott lives on.

Per Scott’s family’s request, all Services will be private.
