SHELBY A. LAVOIE

WEST WARWICK- Shelby A. Lavoie, 23, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022. Born in Warwick, RI, she was a daughter of Kim and Ken Bertrand and the late Jason Lavoie, Sr. 

Shelby was a graduate of West Warwick and Toll Gate Technical High School where she graduated as top mechanic. She was currently attending the University of New Hampshire. For the past four and a half years, Shelby was working alongside her mother at Atlantic Urology Clinics having worked her way up to medical office manager of the two offices ten months ago. She enjoyed fishing and loved tinkering and building things with her father Ken. Her niece Vivian was the love of her life. 

Surviving are her parents, Kim and Ken Bertrand; maternal grandparents, William McNeilis, Eilieen McNeilis and Richard Downs; paternal grandparents, Danny and Amy Lavoie, Wendy and Michael Marshall; brothers Jason Lavoie, Jr. his wife (Athena), Ryan Bertrand; sister, Lindsay Bertrand (Joe Kingsborough); nieces, Vivian and Brooke. She is also survived by aunts, Kellie, Darlene, Fran, Amber, Danielle, Sue, Lisa, Onyx; uncles, Billy, Jeremy, Josh, Lee, Chris, Michael, Andy; and numerous cousins. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal step-grandmother, Kathleen McNeilis; and step-grandparents, Leo and Loraine Bertand. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mental Health Awareness, Suicide Prevention or the American Cancer Society. 

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (RTE 117), Coventry. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
