GOODENOUGH, SHIRLEY, 69, of Coventry, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was the loving wife of David John Goodenough.
Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. Sr. and Lillian M. (Colvin) Wright.
Shirley enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets with her husband and spending time with her dogs. With her quick wit and sense of humor, Shirly enjoyed working for many years as a cashier at both Jerry’s Supermarket and Stop & Shop in Coventry.
Besides her husband, Shirley was the loving mother of Robert Wright, Shawnann Machado, John Scott Wright, and Heidi Irons. Loving Grandmother of 30 and great grandmother of 16. Shirley was the sister of Charles A. Wright of Lewiston, ME., Ernest H. (and Lorraine) Wright of Dayville, CT., and the late Walter B. Wright and Louise Dauphinais.
Family and friends are invited to Shirley’s visiting hours on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:30 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (Route 117), Coventry, RI. Funeral Service will begin at 6:30 PM. Burial is private.
