TURNER, SHIRLEY ANN, 67, of West Greenwich, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. She was the beloved wife of nearly 32 years to Lindsay Turner.
Born in Warwick, Shirley was a daughter of the late Joseph and Annette (Lamothe) Sepe.
Growing up in Coventry, RI, Shirley attended and graduated from Prout High School. A natural born ‘people person’, Shirley worked as a Bartender in her earlier years before following her passion of helping needy animals. As a lifelong animal lover, Shirley was the Director of the East Greenwich Animal Hospital, then was the Director for the Rhode Island Community Spay & Neuter Clinic, and lastly Shirley continued her pursuit of helping needy animals working with the Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her gardens, taking camping trips, and annual travels to North Conway, New Hampshire and Kennebunkport, Maine with her lifelong friends and family. Above all, anytime Shirley was spending with her grandchildren and ‘fur babies’, was what Shirley cherished most.
She was the loving mother of Hollie Mailloux Pomfret, and her husband Justin, of Coventry, Robert Hanna, his wife Beth-Lyn, of Florida, and Katie Rae Dunlea of Massachusetts. She was the adoring grandmother of Alexis, Skylar, Daniel, Harrison, Aurelia, and Clapton. Shirley is also survived by her siblings, Jay Sepe and Denise Davenport.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry.
