JENDZEJEC, STANLEY M., 90, of West Glen Lane, West Warwick, and a winter resident of Naples, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Kent Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Jessie F. (Iwuc) Jendzejec in 1990.
Born in Coventry, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Bertha S. (Szarek) Jendzejec. He was the father of Dr. Stephen M. Jendzejec and his wife MaryEllen of York, Maine, Mark A. Jendzejec and his wife Peggy of Reston, Virginia, and Ted Jendzejec and his wife Lori of Center Conway, New Hampshire. He was the grandfather of Emily Jendzejec and her husband Bennett Comerford, Cassie Jendzejec and her husband Avi David, Alexander Jendzejec and his wife Christina, Madeline Jendzejec and her husband Paul Robinson, Jessie (Jendzejec) Bouchard and her husband Scott, and Justin Jendzejec. He was the great- grandfather of Juniper and Sebastian, Kayla and Josephine, Talia and Zamira and Kinsley. Stanley was the brother of the late Frances Fett, Loretta Borowski, Henry Jendzejec and Thomas Jendzejec. Stanley is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as his dear friend and caretaker, Tomasz Pawelko.
Stanley was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He worked hard to provide for his family. He was proud of his Polish-American heritage, had a strong Catholic faith, and was a tireless leader in the Community. Stanley worked for the
State of Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles as an Administrator of Special Programs. After retiring from the State, Stanley was elected to be the Vice President of the Polish National Alliance in Chicago, he also had served as a National Director and Commissioner of
the PNA. Stanley proudly served his Country for a total of 42 years. He was Honorably Discharged from the Air National Guard on June 14, 1994 (Flag Day) achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He previously served for 20 years in the Naval Reserves.
Stanley served on the Coventry Town Council, and was President from 1968 to 1972. He was Chairman of the Coventry Democratic Town Committee as well as a member of the RI State Democratic Committee. Stanley also served as Chairman on the Coventry
School Building Committee. Stanley was a Director of the Polish National Congress, a Vice-President of Alliance Bank as well as Alliance Communications. Stanley served on the Board of Regents of the Orchard Lake Schools, where he was an Honorary Alumni. Stanley was a
past President, Vice-President, and Financial Secretary of Lodge 1770 Crompton PNA.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 9:30 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church. Interment with Military Honors in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Friday 4 pm - 7 pm In lieu of flowers,
