STANLEY LAPLANTE Obituary
LaPLANTE, Stanley C., 78, of West Warwick, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband to Evelyn (Pacheco) LaPlante.
Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Gerard and Delores (Carroll) LaPlante.
For 32 years, Stanley worked at Hoechst Chemical.
Stanley served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he also found his passion of playing Baseball. He was a pitcher for the Charleston Charlies in South Carolina. Stanley also enjoyed golf, wood working, but above all, spending time with family and friends.
He was the father of Sherry Hicks, and her husband David, Elizabeth LaPlante and the late Randy L. LaPlante. Stanley was the brother of SR. Cynthia LaPlante, Joan Connors, and Gregory LaPlante. Grandfather of Joshua Hicks, Christopher Bailey, Matthew Hicks, Casey LaPlante, and Jaryn LaPlante; great-grandfather of Iszabella and Emily.
His funeral services will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, at the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (RTE 3), Coventry, RI, from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial at RI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery to follow.
