STELLA L. (KING) NINE

STELLA NINE Obituary

NINE, STELLA L. (KING), 78, (T.Sgt.USAF,ret.) of Coventry, and formerly of Portsmouth, RI passed away at the Riverview Healthcare Community on Friday morning, May 2, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Melvin E. Nine in 2019. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. and Louise E. (Peach) King.

 

Stella graduated from West Warwick High School, class of 1966. Known for her hard working ethic, Stella went on to serve our Country in the United States Air Force for 25 years, rising up the ranks to a Technical Sergeant, before an honorable discharge from Westover Air Force Base in Massachusetts. Stella, a Vietnam veteran, was stationed in many places throughout the World, most notable was her time in Thailand and Puerto Rico.

 

Stella was the mother of James E. Nine of Pawtucket, Sharleen Beyea and her husband James, and Robert Renta, all of Florida; and the stepmother of Dawn Kozakiewicz and her husband Frank. Stella was the grandmother of Ryan Renta and Jack Nine. She was the sister of Roberta Yourtee of Virginia, Joanne Conti and Linda Ricci, both of West Warwick. Stella is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

A Visiting hour will be on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm, with a Funeral Service at 12:15 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. Entombment at Newport Memorial Park in Middletown, RI to follow. iannottifh.com
