STEVEN E. CHAPPEL

CHAPPEL, STEVEN E., 83, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia M. (Bickle) Chappel. 

Born in Cranston, Rhode Island, Steven was a son of the late Enid (Cilley) Snow and step father Henry Snow. 

Growing up in West Warwick and Coventry, Steven graduated from Coventry High School. Steven was a tractor trailer truck driver and was also the co-owner of the former All State Auto in West Warwick. Most recently, Steven was employed as a Driver for Bald Hill Dodge, Warwick. 

In his spare time, Steven enjoyed playing billiards and was an accomplished competitive pool player, competing in the Kent County Pool League and other tournaments throughout the region. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, The Phenix Sportsmen's Club, and also the VFW #449 of West Warwick. Above all things, any time Steven was with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, is what he cherished most. 

He was the father of Steven Chappel of Camden, AL, Annette Coutu, her husband Joel  of Coventry, Aaron Ware, his wife Michaela of Warren, Jason Turcios of West Warwick, and Joseph Turcios of Smithfield.  Grandfather of Justin Coutu, Danielle Coutu, Kimberly Frost, Jason Turcios Jr., and the late Joel Coutu Jr.; An adoring great grandfather of Danyella, Hope, Nathan, Maddison, Brielle, Armani, Giovanni, Michael, Ayden, and Justin Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Leander of Smithfield, RI. 

Family and friends are invited to Visiting Hours on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Burial is respectfully private.
