SYLVIA R. (DE SIMONE) POTTER

POTTER, SYLVIA R. (DESIMONE) 59, of Maple Valley Rd., Coventry, passed at home unexpectedly, on Friday, March 6, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Potter for 37 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Kathryn M. (Detoro) DeSimone of Cranston and the late Richard A. DeSimone.

Sylvia was employed as an office manager for the Epoch Sleep Center in Lincoln for over 10 years. She was a graduate of Cranston West High School, Class of 1978. Sylvia loved to spend time with her daughters Samantha M. Potter of Coventry and Jordan E. Potter of St. Augustine, Florida, going out for luncheons with her dear friend Denise Sheldon, and the companionship of her dog Brooke.

Sylvia was the aunt of Erica Makin and Amanda DeSimone, both of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Richard A. DeSimone Jr.

Her Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) Coventry.  Interment at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org ) would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
