THERESA Joann Marie (COLEMAN) PERRY

PERRY (COLEMAN), THERESA Joann Maria., 82, of Coventry Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home as she wished on Saturday, August 10, 2024.  She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Manuel J. Perry, who predeceased her in 2021.

Born in Newport, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Mary Agnes (Brennan) Coleman.

Terry had the gift of making all she met feel warm and welcomed.  Manny and Terry will be remembered as being the “fun” Aunt and Uncle to all of Patrick and Cecilia’s friends. They enjoyed hosting and entertaining many people who became longtime friends over the many seasons, at the Ginny-B Campground in Foster, Rhode Island.  She will be dearly missed by her friends at the Great Oak RV Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, where she spent her winter months and also with her niece and nephew, Jane and Bill Shupe, who took great care of her while she was in Florida.  Always one to keep up with Pop Culture, “Terry Perry”  had garnered a following of fans across social media who were drawn to her “tell it like it is” approach to life. 

Theresa was the loving mother of Patrick J. Perry, of Coventry and Cecilia C. Lowenstein, of Walpole, MA.  Grandmother of Hailey and Jake Lowenstein. 

Theresa was the sister of Cecilia Shupe, and the late Patricia Hanson, John Coleman, Michael Coleman, and Joseph Coleman.  Theresa is also survived by her longtime loyal friend, who at the end of Terry’s illness, was tending to her personal needs,  Jean Irons.

As a lifelong lover of all of God’s creatures, in lieu of flowers, donations made in Terry’s memory to your local animal shelter would be appreciated.
