URSILA SENERCHIA Obituary

SENERCHIA (PARENTE), URSILA "EVA",  97, formerly of Oakland Drive, West Warwick, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022. She was a devoted wife, married for 56 years to the late Norman A. Senerchia. As a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Eva is survived by her son Michael N. Senerchia and his wife Karen (Schmidt) Senerchia of West Warwick, Norma Jean (Senerchia) Palazzo and her husband CDR Alan G. Palazzo, USN (Ret.), of West Warwick, and Carolyn M. (Senerchia) Baczenski and her husband John of Baker, FL; her grandchildren, Christopher M. Senerchia, LT Giancarlo A. Palazzo, USN, and LT Thomas M. Senerchia, USNR and his wife NamKyung and their children Charlotte and Augustine.

Born on April 14, 1925 in the Natick section of Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Luigia (Mancini) Parente. She is survived by her siblings Pasquale (Pat) Parente of Little Compton, and Simeone (Sam) Parente of Cranston, RI. She is predeceased by her siblings Giovannina (Gennie) DiCarlo, Amelia Santilli, Eliza (Lisa) Gould, Viola Felici, Maria (Lena) Ogrodnik, John (Mickey) Parente, Joseph Parente, Alfred Parente, Dominic Parente, Anthony Parente, and Lawrence (Larry) Parente. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

As a life-long parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick, Eva’s faith in God and her devotion to Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist was unwavering, attending Mass daily.

Eva grew up with an incredible work ethic having worked at Sears & Roebuck in the Hardware Department, Estelle’s Gift Shop in Arctic, and Filene’s Department Store finally retiring in 1995, all while relishing in the time spent providing love to her family. Having been part of an enormous family, Eva nurtured and cared for all her younger brothers. She was quick-witted, the best baker and cook, loving, and honest. In her spare time, she loved being outdoors, swimming, walking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, showering them with love and support.

The family would like to thank the staff of Alpine Nursing Home and Beacon Hospice Care for their care, comfort, and compassion that was provided for Eva and her family during this most difficult time.
