URSULA D. DIMARTINO

DiMARTINO (Zannini), URSULA D. “Lee”, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 18, 2021. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis C. DiMartino. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Aquilini and Viola (Parente) Zannini and the sister of the late Anthony Zannini and his late wife, Constance.    

Lee enjoyed a successful 40 year career as a hair stylist and owner of Lee’s Beauty Salon in West Warwick. She split her time between her home in West Warwick and her summer house in Narragansett. In her last few years she lived a safe and protected life with her daughter and son-in-law at their home in Narragansett.

Lee was the loving mother of Paula Staples, and her husband Peter. She was the proud grandmother of Nathan of Lemoore, Ca; Emily of Narragansett; and Andrew of Raleigh, NC. She cherished her great-grandchildren Lyra and Zoe, (daughters to Nathan and his wife Andrea). Lee was devoted to her large extended family, and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Lee was a fun-loving, strong willed and independent spirit who laughed easily and enjoyed  travel, playing cards, participating in social events, and baking for family and friends. She was an adventurous woman and always eager to offer advice about decorating, fashion, food and life. Her faith in God and family sustained her throughout a long and full life. Her warm hugs, generous laughter, and keen sense of awareness will be sorely missed. 

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours, while observing social distance guidelines, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM, in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (RTE 117), Coventry. Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick, RI. Burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Warwick. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations can be made to either of Lee’s favorite charities, “Society of the Little Flower”, 1313 N.
