PERRY, Victor J., 94, passed away on Sunday August 5that home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lawrence MA on October 5th, 1923. He was the son of Cyril and Mary (Bernard) Perry. He was the loving husband of Marie (Arsenault) Perry and they had been married for seventy-two years.
He is survived by his five children, Father Ronald Perry S.J. of Boston, Mass., Bob (Claudia) Perry of Coventry, RI, Donna (Gary) Mudge of Cleremont, FL, Janice (John) Arlia of Tucson, AZ, Joan (Charles) Smith of Coventry, RI. He leaves 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as his sister, Lorraine Gaudet of S. Hadley, Mass. He was the brother of the late Fred and Edward Perry. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
He was an honorary member of the Knight’s of Columbus, serving as past Grand Knight of the former Rev. J.A. Finnegan Council #111. Victor was a WWII veteran, serving in Germany, Italy, France and Casablanca. He was the recipient of the silver star and bronze star.
The family of Victor would like to thank the CNE VNA Hospice team for their kind and dedicated service in our time of need. He was a gentle man who loved his family and will be greatly missed.
His Funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian at 11:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Coventry. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery (Rte. 3), West Greenwich, RI. Visiting hours Thursday 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
