CHAPDELAINE, WILFRID, “Chappy”, 86, passed away at Kent Hospital on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. He was the beloved husband to the late Barbara A. (Lincourt) Chapdelaine.
Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Wilfrid I. and Evelyn (Farland) Chapdelaine.
Chappy served his country for 43 years in the United States Air Force in the 102nd and the 143rd. Serving as a Chef, Chappy prepared meals in undisclosed locations, part of the Prime Rib Division.
He also was Co-Owner of the former Coventry House of Pizza.
He was the father of the late Ernest Chapdelaine, Wilfrid Jr. and Joseph Chapdelaine. He is survived by his daughter in law Gloria Chapdelaine; His grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband Joe, Kristine, Krystle, Samantha and her husband Jimmy, Jonathan and his wife Wendy, Joseph Jr. and his wife Nikkayla, Mathue and his wife Courtney, and Teya and her husband Logan. He was also the amazing great-grandpa to Twenty-three great grandkids;
Summer Jo, Anna, Mahkenzee, Alexys, Natalie, Teyanna, Nisa, Mia, Anthonee, Zooey, Calleigh, Jonathan Jr, Delilah, Carly Jo, Elijah, L.J., Sadie, Emily, Kaia, Ellanora, Daisy, Emmett and Evelyn.
Family and friends are invited to Chappy’s Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Saints John and James Parish, 20 Washington St., West Warwick. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, Burial with Full Military Honors at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, will be private. Arrangements by Iannotti Funeral Home.
