WILLIAM ANDREWS Sr.

ANDREWS Sr., WILLIAM, of West Warwick, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 1, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor M. Andrews, who predeceased William in 2022.

Born in Westport, MA, William was a son of the late Joseph and Margharite (Alberto) Andrews. 

After graduating from High School, William enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army. After his Honorable Discharge, William continued in the effort to help defend his country, helping in the construction of Naval War Ships and Submarines. William worked for many years as a General Foreman at General Dynamics Electric Boat, before his retirement. In his spare time, he loved to be out on the bay, enjoying his boat and digging for clams. Anytime with his family was what William enjoyed most. 

William was the loving father of William Andrews, Jr. and Cynthia M. Andrews and her companion, James Barone, and the late Michael B. Andrews. Loving grandfather of Samantha Andrews, Nicholas Andrews, and Anthony Moniz. Brother of James Andrews, Richard Andrews and the late Alfred Andrews, Emily Gomes, Joseph Andrews, and Margaret Viera.  

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM, with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:15 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Burial with Committal Prayers and Military Funeral Honors to follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
