WILLIAM C. "BILL" DEROCHER

DEROCHER, WILLIAM C. “BILL” 77, of Ten Rod Rd., Exeter, and formerly of Coventry, passed at Kent Hospital on Friday, August 27, 2021 surrounded by loving family. He was the husband of Jane F. (Lemieux) Derocher for 57 years. Born in Coventry, he was a son of the late Dennis and Rita (Paradis) Derocher.

Bill graduated from Coventry High School in 1962. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Johnson & Wales College in 1965. Bill was a purchasing director for Amperex Electronics, a division of North American Philips Corporation in Slatersville, RI, for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. Bill was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Thornton Beagle Club for many years. Mostly though, he loved to spend time with his family.

He was the father of William J. Derocher, Robert P. Derocher (Mary) and Michele M. Evans (Lance), all of Exeter. He was the grandfather of Jacqueline Derocher, Brittany Crickard, Nicholas Derocher, Paris Evans, Chloe Derocher and Lucas Evans. Bill was the brother of Angela Martino, Joann Leroux, Francis Derocher, Louise Filippone, Elizabeth Giles, and the late Michel Derocher and Dennis Derocher.

His funeral will be on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10 am from the Iannotti Funeral at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry, 02816. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich. Visiting hours are Thursday evening 4 pm - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saints John & Paul Church would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
