WILLIAM CHARLES MOSKOSKY, JR.

MOSKOSKY JR., WILLIAM C., 70, of West Greenwich, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Alpine Nursing Home on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was the husband of Catherine Ann (Lepore) Moskosky for 45 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Dr. William C. and Helen M. (Cannon) Moskosky.

William graduated from Pilgrim High School in 1969. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a Master’s degree from Duke University.  William was a supervisor at the Rhode Island Department of Health WIC program from 1978 – 2005. He was a Fourth Degree Knight at the Msgr. Blessing Council, where he was also a past Grand Knight. He was in the Boy Scouts, where he earned the honor of Eagle Scout. Bill was also a Eucharistic Minister at Rhode Island Hospital and lecturer at Saints John and Paul Church, Coventry. He was a member of the Rhode Island Ski Patrol. William was involved in his community and was a member of the West Greenwich School Committee, and the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency.  

He was the father of William C. Moskosky III, of West Greenwich, and Elisabeth L. van der Molen, and her husband, John, of Papamoa Beach, New Zealand.  

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 2068 Cranston St., Cranston. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich will be private. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 4 pm – 7 pm at Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd, Coventry.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Kindred Hospice, 2374 Post Road, Suite 206, Warwick, Rhode Island, 02886, or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). iannottifh.com
