POST, WILLIAM A., 75, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence with his loving family by his side on Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was the loving husband of nearly 54 years to Judith (Wheat) Post.
Born in Norwich, Connecticut, William was a son of the late Rev. John and Gloria (Cleveland) Post.
In his younger years, Bill worked in retail before following his passion for antiques. As a lifelong history enthusiast, Bill was a US Civil War buff and took many trips to Gettysburg, PA, visiting family along the way. He was the longtime owner of Posted Antiques, a business he ran for 30 years. Bill also volunteered at Countryside Consignments, continuing his love of antiquities and helping others at the store. He enjoyed annual trips to his property on Bow Lake in New Hampshire and vacationing at Disney World and Ogunquit, ME. He was also an avid fan of the NFL, especially his beloved New York Giants. Above all, Bill will be remembered for his honesty, selflessness and his love for his family.
William also leaves behind his daughter, Heather Lussier and her husband, Alan of Coventry. He was the proud grandfather of Michael Lussier and Matthew Lussier. He is also survived by his brother, John Post and his wife, Liz of Connecticut. In addition, Bill leaves behind his sister-in-law, Theresa Potvin and her husband, Leonard, in spirit, and his sister-in-law, Kathleen Marino and her husband, Gary.
