HANNAH, WILLIE E., 89, of Main St., East Greenwich, passed away at the Scalabrini Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in North Kingstown, on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Born in Sturgis, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Ralph E. Hannah Jr. and Ada Dovie Estella (Berry) Hannah. Mr. Hannah was predeceased by two wives, three daughters, one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Hannah was an Airman first class in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He worked in fabrication and calibration in the Ship Building industry in Louisiana and at Quonset Point, North Kingstown before retiring. Mr. Hannah enjoyed fellowship and Bible studies at Faith Baptist Church in Warwick. He also enjoyed playing checkers and telling a good joke.
Mr. Hannah leaves his dear friends and caregivers; Roy W. Witt Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Cranston, and Stanley S. Kansiewicz and his wife Kathy of West Warwick; as well as the many lives he touched while residing in Rhode Island.
A visiting hour will be on Saturday morning, August 15, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a Service at 10:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) Coventry. Interment with military honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
