Roy was my branch chief at the Defense Mapping Agency in the 1980s, and he was always good to me. We all scattered after the closing of our W. Warwick office in '87, when Roy retired, but 24 years later the word of Roy's passing is spreading fast among the old DMA crowd via email. My condolences to Roy's family, from down in the DC area.
