JEAN HAYDEN

HAYDEN, JEAN M. (FERGUSON), 85, formerly of West Warwick, passed on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Life Path Hospice in Ruskin, Florida. She was the wife of the late John J. Hayden Jr.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Olive (Welch) Ferguson.

Jean graduated from St. Xavier Academy in 1950, she was a graduate of the Roger Williams Hospital School of Nursing, earning her degree as a Registered Nurse. She was a Registered Nurse for over 38 years. She was employed at Roger Williams Hospital and the former Cranston General Medical Center as Director of the Intensive Care Unit before retiring in 1990.

Jean enjoyed traveling, taking many cruises to the Caribbean with her husband. She enjoyed hosting many holiday parties, knitting, and especially enjoyed her retirement in Florida.

She was the mother of Dr. Michael J. Hayden and his wife Patricia of Cranston, Thomas J. Hayden and his companion Lisa, of Winter Park, Florida, Susan J. Hayden of St. Petersburg, David J. Hayden and his wife Donna of Bradenton, Florida, and Sheila J. Rousseau of St. Petersburg, Florida. Jean was the sister of Joan B. Schoeler of Warwick. Jean is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandchild soon to be expected.

Visiting hours will be Monday morning, November 6, 2017 from 8:00 am to 9:15 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd, Cranston. Interment in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Life Path Hospice at Sun City, 3725 Upper Creek Dr., Ruskin, Florida, will be appreciated.
